Muslim Community of North Dublin (MCND) DATA PROTECTION NOTICE

It is necessary for The Muslim Community North Dublin CLG (MCND) to collect and record certain personal data relating to each member, which may include a member’s name, membership number, address, telephone, email address and WhatsApp number. The Muslim Community North Dublin CLG holds such personal data for membership purposes and to serve the Muslim community in North Dublin.

The Muslim Community North Dublin CLG has a number of benefits available to its members and in order to ensure such benefits are exclusively available to its members. The Muslim Community North Dublin CLG may use the names and membership numbers of its members for the purpose of membership verification.

3. How do we collect your data and how will we use your data?

Information that you provide to us when filling the membership form to become member of MCND and using our community services and using our Website/Apps. You also provide us information while making donations to the Muslim Community North Dublin CLG (MCND) to serve the community.

I.Register of Members

A member is one of the MCND owners whose name has been entered on the register of members. Members delegate certain powers to the company’s directors to run the company on their behalf. It is essential that members take part in supervising the performance of the MCND and its directors to protect their financial and other interests.

  1. The register of members is a register which must be kept by every company.
  2. The register must ordinarily be kept at the company’s registered office. If held elsewhere in the state, the Registrar of Companies must be notified.
  3. This register contains the name and address of each member of the company, the date on which they became the member and the date on which they ceased being a member of the Company.
  4.  The register is open to inspection to every member free of charge and to any member of the public on payment of a small fee.

If you contact us for any reason, we may keep a record of that correspondence for as long as it is necessary regarding the nature of your contact. Details of your visits to the Website including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data and other communication data and the resources, advertisements and linked sites that you access.

Other personal information such as telephone recordings, CCTV images at our premises where applicable and images from Eid festivals/ Quranic competitions and other events.

Sometimes MCND may use your information when you are not a member. For example, Proxy vote, a supporter for a membership application, a potential member or customer applying for one of our services, a volunteer or an employee or a job applicant.

We use and share your information where this is necessary to perform our function with you and to provide products or services to the community, or,

Where you have explicitly consented to the use of this in a particular way (you may withdraw your consent at any time), or

Where use is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation for example compliance with a law enforcement request, or

Where use is necessary to protect your vital interests in exceptional circumstances, or

Use is for our legitimate interests (which you are entitled to object to) which is for managing the MCND, using analytics, education/training etc.

4. Where we store your personal data

All information you provide to us is stored in the Registered address of the MCND and on our secure servers, which are hosted by Google in the EU. Our website is hosted in the UK and data transfers between the UK and the EU are covered by the adequacy decision that is in place between these two jurisdictions.

5. Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to our service providers or data processers working directly, an accountant, external event management company obtaining delegate registrations for our annual festivals. We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the MCND, our members of the community.

6. Safeguarding your personal information

We endeavour to use appropriate security measures at all times to protect your data. The Website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. However, as no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you transfer the data at your own risk.

I. MCND APP PRIVACY POLICY

MCND App does not collect any personal information. There are several services/features that require an internet connection and/or location service as described in the next paragraphs, but none of them is used to store any information.

Location services of the MCND App do identify your geographic location for the purpose of using the compass feature. That information, however, is not stored either on your phone or transmitted to any other location including this website.

The news feature of the MCND App accesses the website news content directly and via API calls and not through a means of a WebView. Therefore, it does not register in any tracking software, including Google Analytics as per the MCND Website section below.

II. MCND WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY

We collect information from you when you register on our site, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form or enter information on our site.

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

We only provide articles and information. Our donation payments are processed by Paypal. We do not keep your credit card details on any of our servers.

We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

III. WhatsApp Group

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, your private chats with friends and family are still protected with end-to-end encryption. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personal Information unless we provide you with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, such parties will use standard contractual clauses or will sign a Data Processing Agreement in order to guarantee the confidentiality of this information. 9. Finding out what information the MCND holds about you

Under the Data Protection Legislation, you can ask to see any personal information that we hold about you. Such requests are called subject access requests. If you would like to make a subject access request, please contact our any Director of the Board or email us. You will also need to provide two forms of identification, for example, driving licence, utility bill or passport at the time of the request, which will not be retained, and, if appropriate, any particulars about the source or location of the information you are requesting. The MCND has one month to respond to your subject access request.

10. Data retention

We keep and use your personal information for as long as you have a relationship with us or in order to enable us to assist you with queries in regard to payment instructions relating to membership/donation to the MCND. We hold your information generally for a period of 7 years afterwards unless we are legally required to keep it for a longer period.

By your use of our website, you signify that you have read this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree with or you are not comfortable with any aspect of the Privacy Statement, we recommend that you discontinue use of the Website and your engagement with us.
